I like it better then the Valentine that I have in my other cars, but the fact that the Valentine tells where the radar is coming from is nice. I would not know how to confirm your question without asking a traffic officer specifically, and I do not have any inclination to do such a thing. I find the GPS function and speed cameras not the most reliable as they are based from a database submitted by Escort users and a new speed trap or light camera could get put up and you would not know until someone submitted it. In my area we have one Lidar gun, it is interesting because when he aims it at the cars in front of me, my Escort immediately goes off at full bar, and shuts off, then again as he pulls the trigger. I was able to pick him up about 4 cars in front of me, but it was about a 8-10 seconds warning (which with CHP, I sometimes will pick them up a mile or two, depending on the terrain). If I had been the only car on the road, I would have been signing my name to a ticket.
